Shilpa Shinde is an Indian actress who works in television and films and belongs to Bombai.40 years old shilpa did her graduation in psychology. Shilpa joined dance academy to learn dance. From her childhood she had passion towards acting and showed interest in becoming an actress. Her family background didn’t belong to theater, so before selecting acting career she had to persuade her family. Shilpa Shinde made her television debut in 1999 in the serial named Kabhi aye na Judaai but came to the spotlight for playing a negative role in STAR Plus's Bhabhi (2002-08). Roles in the medical drama Sanjeevani (2002-05) and historical drama Amrapali (2002), fortify her position in the television industry.Shilpa Shinde is best known for playing character of Angoori Bhabhi in serial Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai.Shilpa Shinde has a pattern of leaving the show in the middle. Show named “Do jism aik jaan” she depart from the show giving reason that the production is not paying attention towards my character. In addition to her work in television, Shinde has acted in two Telugu films: Dasari Narayana Rao's Chhina and Suresh Verma's Shivani in which she was unable to gain success.

In October 2017, after an interim from television, Shinde became a participant on the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss 11 and was proclaimed it's winner on 14 January 2018.

Shilpa Shinde was born on 28 August 1977 into a Maharashtrian middle-class family. Her father, Dr. Shinde, was the judge of a High Court while her mother is a Lady of the house.She has two older sisters and a younger brother. 

Shilpa Shinde met actor Romit Raj on the set of TV show Maayka (2007-2009). The two started dating each other soon afterwards. They were engaged to be married in 2009 but the wedding was drop off when Shinde was unable to meet the demands of Raj and his family.

Shinde went into lowness when her father died in 2013 of Alzheimer’s disease. Her father did not want her to take up acting as a profession. Shinde said, “He never wanted me to get into acting but when I persist he did give me a year’s time and I became an actress. I was there with him day and night in the last couple of months and now he is gone.

In January 2015, it was reported that Shinde had been advent to play the lead role in &TV's new comic drama Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai She was originally cast to play a glittering neighbor Anita Mishra but had to play the simple housewife, Angoori Tiwari, when actress Rashmi Desai, who had had been cast to play Angoori, quit due to personal reasons.  Shilpa Shinde became a homey name with her imitation of Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!, but she quit in March 2016 after having indefinite issues with the makers and arraign them of mentally torturing her. In 2017, Shilpa Shinde did an item song in the film Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi.

Return to television and Bigg Boss (2017–present)

In October 2017, Shilpa shinde reappeared to TV and became a contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss 11. One of her companion contestants on the show was Vikas Gupta, the programming head of &TV, who is said to have played a major role in her expulsion from Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. The two originally shared a distasteful relationship and repeatedly fought on the show but their relationship became much more sympathetic towards the end of it. Both Shilpa Shinde and Gupta turn into finalists on the show along with actress Hina Khan and businessman Puneesh Sharma. Shilpa Shinde worn out the other three finalists and was announced the winner of Bigg Boss 11 on 14 January 2018.
