Wasim Akram (اکرم وسیم) is a former Pakistani 1st class cricketer, cricket critic, analyst, commentator and TVpersonality. He is recognised as one of the successful and greatest bowlers of cricket history.
Wasim Akram left-arm fast bowler who could bowl with fast pace. He represented the Pakistan cricket team in Test and ODI matches. In 2013, Wasim Akram was the only Pakistani cricketer to be entitled in an all-time Test World XI to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack.
Wasim Akram is recognised as one of the greatest and prominent fast bowlers in the history of cricket. He holds the world record for taking wickets in List A cricket, with 881.He is the founder reverse swing bowling.
He was the 1st bowler to reach the fiver hundred-wicket mark in ODI cricket in 2003 World Cup. In 2002, Wisden ranked Wasim as the best bowler in One Day International matches of all time.
In 2009, Wasim Akram name included into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
He was the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, India. He also worked as bowling coach of Islamabad United in PSL, Pakistan. After he left the Islamabad United, he joins Multan Sultans in August 2017
